Because insurance plans reimburse differently and have varying administrative requirements, appointment availability and scheduling priority may vary by plan type. Below is a clear overview of what we accept and how scheduling typically works.
Insurance Plans We Accept
PPO Dental Insurance (Highest Scheduling Priority)
We accept most major PPO dental insurance plans, including:
Cigna, Delta Dental, MetLife, Aetna, Guardian, UnitedHealthcare (UHC), GEHA, Mutual of Omaha, Lincoln, Principal, United Concordia, and similar PPO plans.
What this means for patients:
- Excellent reimbursement levels
- Fast, streamlined scheduling
- Priority access to prime appointment times
- Routine and emergency visits accepted
These plans allow us to provide care efficiently while maintaining the level of quality and time our patients expect.
Medicare Advantage Dental Plans
We accept select Medicare Advantage plans with dental benefits, including:
Anthem, Humana, SCAN, Clever Care, and Blue Cross Blue Shield Medicare Advantage plans.
What this means for patients:
- Excellent coverage for many procedures
- Prime-time appointments available
- Insurance verification required before scheduling
- Appointments confirmed once benefits are verified
Because Medicare Advantage plans have additional administrative requirements, we may need up to 48 hours to confirm coverage before finalizing your appointment.
Cash Pay & No Insurance Patients
Patients without dental insurance are always welcome.

- Priority scheduling availability
- No insurance delays or restrictions
- Simple, straightforward care
For example, many patients begin with a $199 new patient exam and X-rays, with treatment options clearly explained before proceeding.
Medi-Cal Dental (Denti-Cal / PHP Plans)
We accept select Medi-Cal managed dental plans, including:
Liberty Dental, DentaQuest, Health Net, and CDN (when assigned to Lu Dental Care).
What this means for patients:
- Coverage accepted when assigned to our office
- Appointments scheduled during off-peak hours
- Limited availability due to reimbursement structure
To ensure quality care for all patients, Medi-Cal appointments are typically scheduled before 9:00 a.m. or after 3:00 p.m.
